Be Bold

Whenever we have a photoshoot, I am always picking our stylist’s and makeup artist’s brain, on the hottest trends, and best beauty products.  This time, I fell in love with the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.  It’s pretty much lipstick in a stick form.  I think they are great because when you are using bolder colors, the stick helps you be more precise and outline your lips nicely.  It’s much better then the thick lipstick tubes.  When I wanted a bold red lip, and I was using a lipstick tube, I had to outline my lips with a pencil first, and then clean the edges with concealer.  It was such an unnecessary process and a pain to up keep.  These stick are long lasting, easy to use, and sexy!  And if you want your lips to be a little glossy, just add a topcoat of clear gloss, and voila!

I think you may have caught on with my obsesseion with Urban Decay, “Naked” collection.  Due to the fact that I don’t like too much makeup, or anything crazy and bright, I gravitate towards, this collection, because it is soft, natural, and pretty.  I find Urban Decay products to be affordable and easy to use.  It is easy to apply, long lasting, and easy on my skin.  I am in love with the new Naked Lip Gloss. They come in very classic, rosie, neautral shades, and very soft.  My lips feel silky smooth without feeling sticky and looking too bold and tacky.  I suggest stopping by Sephora and finding your perfect shade!

Spring Scent…For Your Hair

March 29, 2014

I have been very loyal to Gucci throughout the years, sticking to my Guilty scent, and I must say, they have really been good to me.  However, I am changing up a few things this Spring season, my scent being one of them…for my hair!  I recently read that the new scent trend is to show your hair some love, and give it a few spritzes.  Being that is Spring, and the flowers are blooming, I decided to try out “Flower Bomb,” by Viktor Rolf.  With its floral scent being perfect for this time of year, I think this will be a nice new way to keep everything smelling nice and fresh!

Beauty Must Have

March 20, 2014

Naked3-2

When the first Naked palette came out, I instantly fell in love with this array of gorgeous bronze-hued neutrals. Although, it is almost at its end, I must say it did last me a long time.  As sad as I am to see it go, I am excited to try a new palette, I just don’t know which one to choose.  Naked 2 is filled with gorgeous, taupe-hued neutrals, that I tend to be drawn to, and find I can wear these all year round, which I love.  Plus, with my green eyes, I find the more neutral colors in the taupe, bronze, and brown family, work best on me.  Naked 3 however, concentrates on more rose-hued neutrals, but I am not sure how that would look on me.  It’s a gorgeous palette, and I would like to try something new, but I don’t know if this palette is right for me.  Looks like I will be taking a trip to Sephora soon.

I tend to be impatient at times.  There are times I like instant gratification and don’t like to wait.  This is definitely one of my flaws, but thankfully, many companies have catered to my flaw, and have created products that give you instant gratification.  One of my favorite quick fixes is the Luster Premium White Toothpaste. Instead of sitting around with your Crest White Strips for weeks on end, you can use this wonderful toothpaste and see changes after the first brush!  I recommend this for all you impatient ladies out there!

Winter Survival

I don’t know if anyone else is as affected by this harsh winter like I am, but if I don’t go another day with the harsh, cold, winter air, I think I will be perfectly happy.  My skin is dry, my eyes burn, and my poor cuticles are taking such a beating!  I have been on the hunt for the perfect winter survival kit and I found one product that I am absolutely in love with, Rococo Cuticle Cream.  It is smooth, silky, and leaves my cuticles feeling healthy, and more importantly presentable.  I am a huge advocate of presentable nails at all times and cuticles are part of that.  Get with it ladies, keep your pointers looking clean and fresh!

Sweet Spot

I thought it would be nice to start off this week with a beauty fun fact.  Some of you may know this already, but I did not, raw honey is one of the best all natural skin savers.  It is an antibacterial salve.  Many use this kitchen staple to help disinfect cuts, burns, and even pimples.  Raw honey is also known to be a humectant, which means it will actually help boost your favorite skin care products and pull the hydrating properties from them into your skin; making your skin smooth and hydrated!  I added a few drops to my favorite product and actually saw a difference!

When it comes to all things, beauty, fashion, and food, I take them all very seriously.  When I find something I like, whether it be a killer pair of boots or this weeks beauty must have; I make it my mission to have these in my possession.  Some may call it obsessive, but I like to call it dedication.  I recently came across one of my faves, Zoe Saldana’s, hair regiment, to accomplish her full, silky smooth, wavy locks, that I can’t get enough of. First, you apply “L’Oreal Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum” evenly throughout your damp hair.  Then, you spray “Phyto Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray”  throughout your damp hair, focusing on your roots.  Once both products are in, you can blow dry your hair, pulling away from you scalp as you sculpt your hair into perfectly waved locks.  Once you accomplish the wave of your choice, you use, “L’Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray” to keep your waves locked and looking silky smooth.  I have tried all three products and I must say I am impressed!

Fashion Week Manicure

MM-Dior-Pre-Fall-14-600x900

Now that NY Fashion Week is almost at its end, I had the chance to unwind and take a look through some of my favorites.  One that I could not get enough of was Christian Dior Pre-Fall ’14.  Raf Simons did an absolutely phenomenal job transforming the “New Look”, to fit today’s trends.  From thin waist lines leading into big full skirts, thick fabrics, and fun prints; Simon’s has rightfully earned the title of a Fashion Genius!  I was also able to catch up on some of my favorite blogs, which is where I came across “MISS LADYFINGER”, who captured one of the looks from the show and absolutely nailed it!  Pun intended!

Fast Fashion Fixes

February 3, 2014

I am seriously stain prone.  I do not think there is a meal that I don’t finish without some sort of spot or stain, somewhere on my outfit.  I know there are many stain remover pens on the market, but I was recently given the, “Cadie’s Spot and Stain Remover Pen”, and I must say I am impressed.  It is compact, so you can fit it in your clutch (just in case you’re on a date), it works fast, and it doesn’t leave any weird stain on your sensitive fabrics.  This is a definite must have, especially with Fashion Week coming up.  You do not want to be caught walking around with a spot on your outfit!
