Hit That Note

Being that I live in NYC, I don’t really listen to the radio anymore, and I am perfectly okay with that.  All they do is play the same mainstream songs, over, and over again.  I am always on the hunt for new artists, and recently I came across, Betty Who.  This 22 year old, Australian Pop singer, has become the next big thing in pop music, recently signing with RCA Records, and redefining how young women build careers in the very competitive pop world.  Her self-released single, “Somebody Loves You,”  has already hit No. 1 on Billboard’s dance/club song chart, and her Flash Dance inspired video, has become viral.  Her music is fun, the kind of music that makes you want to sing out loud, and dance, no matter who’s watching.  It is feel good music, that instantly puts a smile on your face!

Cardio Anyone?

March 25, 2014

Girl-running-on-beach

I am taking a trip at the end of this week, to Marco Island, Florida.  I am so excited to be with friends, drink yummy frozen drinks, and lay in the sun.  This is exactly what I need after such a harsh winter.  With that being said, this means bathing suit time is starting a little earlier then expected.  So, in the effort to prepare myself for such a scary time, I am getting in extra cardio, and of course, like everything else I do, I had to make my cardio playlist.  Here are my top 7, that I will be jamming to, for my beach babe cardio regiment:

1. “Can’t Hold Us” – Macklemore ft. Ryan Lewis

2. “Radioactive” – Imagine Dragons

3. “Feel This Moment” – Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera

4. “Best Day of My Life” – American Arthors

5. “Get Right” – Jennifer Lopez

6. “I Will Wait” – Mumford & Sons

7. “I Want it All” – Karmin

Soulful Sunday

March 16, 2014

John_Legend-0934_V2

On this quite Sunday, I just want to relax and chill.  I am usually spending Sunday running errands, cooking for the week, and organizing, but this Sunday I just want to unwind.  I’ll probably still cook, because I actually find it therapeutic, but whatever I am doing, I will make sure I’m getting my ME time.  So, being that I have a playlist for pretty much everything, I have put together a little something for this relaxing, soulful Sunday:

1. “When I Was Your Man” – Bruno Mars

2. “By Your Side” – Sade

3. ” Come Close” – Common Ft. Mary J Blige

4. ” Come Away With Me” – Norah Jones

5. “All Of Me” – John Legend

6. “PrimeTime” – Janelle Monae Ft. Miguel

7. “Lost Without You” – Robin Thicke
